Wall Demo & Repair in West Des Moines, IA

Project Description

We need to demo the lower 40" of this wall and then patch back in.

I also want to stop demo 8" from the corner (left side of image) to allow for patch back without affecting the adjacent wall. See red lines on photo for proposed extent of demolition. Total area to be cut and demoed is less than 4 x 8 feet.

There is a layer of drywall under the plaster, it will also have to be removed, then the appropriate layers of drywall added to make it flush with the existing plaster. To be clear, this will require more than one layer of drywall.

This will need to be cut with a grinder vs a sawzall as to not vibrate the undamaged plaster loose from the wall. You will need to utilize some form of dust control when cutting the plaster.

Your bid should include all labor, materials, and tools necessary to cut and remove the existing plaster/drywall, new drywall (more than one layer), mudding/finishing the joints, as well as matching texture.
